My name is Nichole Laase.
I am a photographer who specializes in Autism and Special Needs photography. I live just down the road from my childhood home on an old farmstead with my husband and 2 beautiful children in Cambridge, MN. I spend my days homeschooling my kids and enjoying every moment I share with them. We raise chickens. So. many. chickens! And ducks. And pigs. And honeybees. And someday I hope to add cows to that list! I enjoy crafting and creating, it brings me so much happiness. Some of my hobbies include, stained glass, wood carving, wood working, gardening, painting, drawing, sewing, crochet, baking, quilting, hunting, fishing and camping. I decided to turn my love for photography into a career when my son was 2 years old and diagnosed with Autism. I quickly realized how difficult a photo session can be for Autism and Special Needs families. I believe photography is important. Families change and grow so quickly and everyone deserves to have beautiful photos to cherish forever. I know from my own experiences that finding a photographer that understands the needs of Autism and Special Needs families wasn’t easy. That’s when I decided to start a career in hopes of helping families capture those precious photos they would cherish for a lifetime. It has been one of the most rewarding things I have done. |
